Kiroro
Why Kiroro?
Located approximately 90 minutes North West from New Chitose Airport, Kiroro is in a heavy snowfall area with an average base of five meters per season at the top gondola station.
Ski School is available for both adults and children and the resort also offers other activities including the snow park for children, snow shoe tours and snow cat tours. Kiroro is child friendly, equipped with a day care ‘Kids Room’ available when the Mountain Center is open, and a day nursery (available everyday) making it a great family resort.
Despite being less well known than the some of the other Hokkaido resorts, Kiroro is well known for its modern facilities, infrastructure, lack of crowds and well established Kids club making it perfect for families.
The medium sized resort has 21 runs suited to all standards including beginner, intermediate and advanced with fantastic powder runs throughout the trees. There are also mogul courses and a basic terrain park.

GETTING THERE
The Kiroro ski resort is located 43km west of Sapporo Hokkaido, approximately a 1.5 hr bus trip from the airport. If you are doing a day tour from Niseko it would take approximately 60 mins by charter bus
Resort Facilities & Village
The facilities and services at Kiroro resort are well organised with a modern lift system. Within the resort there are a few shops, a ski and snowboard rental shop, ski school and a childrens day care. There is also a fantastic Kids ski school called “Annie’s Kids Academy”.
The village itself is very small and centered around 2 main hotels. Both hotels provide a high standard of accommodation and a range of facilities. Interms of nightlife, shops and restaurants there is not a huge amount to choose from outside the hotels.

There are various winter activities available if you do not wish to ski:
- Onsens - both indoor and open
- Swimming pool and day spa - located in the resort building
- Snowcat sightseeing tours
- Snow shoe tours, sledding, and snow tubing
- Games arcade with billards and pachinko

In summary, Kiroro is a great place to visit for a day trip or a week and enjoy lack of crowds and beautiful scenery. It is also PERFECT for families with children as they are very well catered for in terms of terrain and resort facilities.
