Morning Report -- Good Friday - Happy Easter Everyone

And a Good Friday it is, with a much calmer day forecst in regards to wind speed where we have had a further 7cm of dry snow fall here in the village and around 10cm at mid to top elevations in the last 24hrs. Nice !

Currently temps and winds minus 1 C and pretty calm at base with the mercury at top forecast at around 7 C below zero and up to 25k's from the cool west.

Yesterday held much better access for riders where we had all lifts for this time of year open with only the top single here in Hifafu and Jumbo double chair in Annupuri on wind hold.
There were areas of good quality boot deep fresh to be found in lee side slopes like super ridge and Hanazono 3, and some areas where those big bad wnds tore the top pack clear off leaving a pretty hard base.

Today should be nice with a handy top up and without those crazy pesky winds. The outlooklook has further periods of snow for today and Saturday with some specks of blue.

Lift access should be pretty good today ..We'll see what gets going around 830 - 9am
The Link for lift operation is supplied on this page.

NB
The daily posting of the avalanche report has now finished for this season. High caution is advised whenever you step outside the resort boundaries. Be especially aware of terrain trap gullies, weakening cornices and steep layers. Best not to push your luck !

Strong Advice Always to take extra caution beyond the boundaries and please respect and obey the rules set by the patrol. Please NEVER poach rope lines or go through gated areas when they have closed them.

Some new snow and fun riding to experience up there today so enjoy and please ride wisely. I'll stop back in tomorrow morning and see how our Saturday is shaping up.
